At Orox Leather Co. we believe that beauty is crucial and underrated. By beauty we don't just mean things that look pretty. Rather we think beauty encompasses things like functionality, durability, and craftsmanship. Beauty is part of our collective heritage, something that we pass on to the next generation. Of course, there abundant natural beauty, but a great deal of the beauty in this world is created by people who care deeply about something and are willing to work extra hard.

The classic children's book Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney has an interesting discussion of beauty. In it a young girl decides that when she grows up she will go to faraway places and then live by the sea. Her grandfather says, “That is all very well … (but) You must do something to make the world more beautiful.” Eventually she plants many, many lupine seeds, making her corner of the world more beautiful. It is worth asking yourself, “What will you do to make the world more beautiful?” Our modest answer is crafting beautiful, highly functional, and long-lasting leather goods that can be handed down to the next generation.
