During a special anniversary trip to Portland with the wife earlier this month, we stopped by Orox’s shop because I was in the market for a new wallet, and I wanted one with buy-it-for-life quality. It’s a family-owned business and they were very sweet and helpful while we were looking around. I ended up getting their classic bifold (with RFID protection) in brown. When I first touched it, I was surprised to feel how stiff and slick it felt, but they assured me it would soften and patina beautifully over time. I’ve had it for 3 weeks so far and sure enough it feels great and still has that amazing leather smell. On the same trip my wife fell in love with and bought an Orox crossbody purse at another Portland shop that carries their products. We’re thrilled that, through Orox, we both found high-quality leather goods that will also serve as vessels of memories that we had on our trip.
I have never seen (or smelled) such a beautiful wallet. The craftsmanship is 5 star. I know my son will love it and I can't wait to purchase another product from Orox!
Classic bi-fold in a beautiful shade of brown. Feels nice, good weight, will patina nicely. Orox was very accommodating at replacing one I ordered on line that wasn't quite what I'd expected.
The wallet is definitely well made and the leather is smooth to the touch. Although I wish I would've known that the wallet came out smaller than my prior one from Coach. This wallet is smaller so when you put cash into it, it has issues closing - as an example, I put in 7 $1 bills into it and as you can see from the photo, the wallet doesn't close. It has a tendency to stay open, which is fine I guess because most people don't carry around cash nowadays anyways. The wallet also cannot take too many cards so if you're someone who likes to carry more than 8 cards with you (e.g. ID, debt, credit, Costco membership), then perhaps look into a larger wallet.
I really like color, the leather/cowhide & the workmanship. The quality is timeless feels like it's made to last. Very happy with the wallet.
This is a really great wallet. My last wallet fell apart, and even though it looked like leather, as it came apart it became clear that it was really some sort of cloth like material covered in a faux leather that looked terrible as it disintegrated. I love that this was wallet is made by hand by people I could go and say hi to if I wanted. I’ve see. Their picture on their website. And it’s good quality leather with beefy stitching. It’s starts out stiff but I know that as I use it, it will wear in like your favorite Lear of shoes and I’m going to have this thing for a very long time. My wallet was shipped very promptly and it arrived quickly too. I couldn’t be happier.
